The samples below will give directions for using the discussion board.  I suggest that  you do the following  before actually posting your answers to the  Class Discussion Board. This procedure will ensure that your discussion responses will be saved properly in case the server times out or another problem occurs.
  1. Open a Word Document; save as Class Discussions
  2. Copy and paste class discussion question that has been posted for the week
  3. Answer the question on the Word Document; save your document on your computer
  4. Finally, using the following examples, copy and paste your answer for the current question to the Class Discussion Board. 
  5. Easy Option: If above is a bother, at least copy your answer before "save and close"; if there's a mishap, you can still paste in a new window!

 

SAMPLE DISCUSSION WINDOWS

The Graphic below each Instruction represents Discussion Board elements:

Go to Discussion Board--Threaded View.

1.  Click on Discussion Title just below "Subject" to reveal current discussion question.

2.   Click on Post Reply to show Text Window

3.  Add your name to Subject Box; e.g. "Discussion 1: Mary's answer"

4. Type answer inside Text Window to respond to discussion

5. Click Save and Close and Go Back to Discussion Board.

6.  To respond/interact with another class member, simply click on their Thread//Discussion title and follow above instructions.
